Hello from sunny Mexico...?

I just received this e-mail from Jenn and it definitely made me laugh:

--------------------------------------------------

I got some desk decorations! Nate (co-worker) brought back some Blackberry lounge chairs from the conference he was at this week. I decided to make a vacation desk-escape.

Ingredients:

- Blackberry lawn chair – brought to us by Mobitv – Mobify your world.

- A curtain sample from Becky Wilkes purse makes a lovely beach blanket.

- Plastic Mexican Mole – He’s an accent piece from Paul Koehler’s inherited plant (10 years old, 3-5 owners).

- 1 green Expo dry erase marker with festive post-its cut to look like palm fronds. I would have colored the fronds green, but I accidentally used the green marker as the trunk…in hindsight, I should have chosen the brown marker.

- Word Clip-art sunshine face (two-sided) hanging from cabinet with decorative paperclip chain.

I love you, all!

Help me. ;)

Collin Renkel baptism

Today was the baptism ceremony for Jeremy and Marca's beautiful baby boy, Collin Martin Renkel. Marca's sister Monica was asked to be his Godmother and I was asked to be his Godfather. It's an honor that I don't quite have the words to describe yet. Here are a couple photos from the beautiful day...

Able and his favorite toy (of the day)

When Able turned 4 last June, we bought him this little orange ball. You can fill it with treats and this manages to keep him quite busy for a while because retrieving them from its small opening is no easy task. We had no idea how attached he would become to this round "giver of food". If you've seen our dog in the last 5 months, you've probably seen this toy. I also wanted to post these photos because I was playing with the camera again and like the way they turned out. :)

The Potting Bench in its natural habitat...

Okay, I finally added the varnish and arranged it in the garage so that Jenn can now use it. She just told me recently that a plant she had hoped to pot using this great new bench died during the long wait. Yes, it's true, my delay caused the death of an innocent plant... :)
