Wedding Information:
8/28/2006 - Wedding photos! Sorry for the delay, we had to go through them all and pick our favorites before sharing with the world. Thanks again to everyone who helped make this weekend the absolute greatest of our lives. Please click on the photo below to see them:
7/9/2006 - We're back! Yes, we have some photos to share but they may not make sense without some explanation so I have added comments where I can. Click on the photo below of the lava tubes near Black Sand Beach to see more:
6/26/2006 - My sister Julie just uploaded her wedding photos and they are great! To see them, click on the photo she took of our wedding cake:
We're off to sleep now for an early flight. See you when we return!
6/25/2006 - More photos to come soon!

6/22/2006 - We met with Chuck Badgley (our DJ) yesterday to discuss our reception plans. He's a good guy and we know he's quite capable of handling the evening well. He did Marca/Jeremy's reception as well as Angie/Rick's and I'm sure a few others we know. Should be a great night! Also, Weather.com just changed their forecast to NO rain on Saturday. Is this possible? Only 2 days until we find out!
6/21/2006 - Last night Jenn wrapped presents while I assembled the easel that will hold our guest signature frame and moved numerous boxes of stuff from the basement to the guest bedroom (aka staging area). Also, I decided that my cuticles were in horrible shape and in desperate need of a MANicure so I indulged myself. Close-up hand photographs with us wearing our wedding rings would have been disastrous. To make myself feel more manly, I rode the motorcycle to the nail salon and back. We're getting more organized each day but there's still lots to do. Who knew there was so much work involved for a wedding? Apparently Jenn did but she still decided to say "yes" when I proposed 18 months ago... :)
6/20/2006 - Really? Only 4 days to go!? Well, last night, Jenn put the finishing touches on the welcome bags for all the people staying at the Courtyard. They look very nice and we hope you like our gifts. If you're not staying at the Courtyard but you're traveling for our wedding, please ask us for details around the luncheon Bonnie is hosting at our house this Sunday.
6/19/2006 - Well, the weather forecast is now showing a 30% chance of isolated thunderstorms for both Friday and Saturday. I know it's early and things can change, however, this is somewhat upsetting news. Everyone please keep your fingers crossed for nice weather! Either way, we know it will be a wonderful day. We can get updates by using the 10 day forecast link below:
6/18/2006 - Okay, we finalized the seating chart today and we found that we have 172 coming. We had a couple of last minute additions and we actually forgot to count ourselves. It's hard to believe we're less than a week away. So much planning for one event. All we can hope for is some decent weather and a happy group of guests. :)
6/16/2006 - We went to the Franklin County Probate Court this morning to get our marriage license. For a mere $40 cash and a quick solemn oath, we have all we need. Also, the final headcount for the wedding is 165 which is a nice total number of guests. Just a handful of last minute tasks to complete before the big weekend. Only 7 days to go! We can't wait to see all of you...
6/12/2006 - Program Party! Kelly, Marca, Megan, and Sandy came over tonight to help Jenn put the programs together after we had them printed. Not only did they finish this important task, they helped Jenn finish up the favor assembly and even wrapped some gifts to take the load off of the beautiful bride-to-be. Who could ask for better friends? We are blessed in every way possible. Thanks to everyone!
6/8/2006 - Favors! The favors came in last night so Bonnie, Jenn, and I began some minor assembly. We managed to get over half of them done yesterday and it shouldn't take long to get the rest of them ready. Also, most of the RSVPs are in and we're sitting at a little over 160 right now. If no one else can make it, that's really a nice sized group. See you soon!
6/5/2006 - We created and sent out our rehearsal dinner invitations last night. It was a collaborative effort and we think they came out very nice. If you receive one, tell Jenn how much you love it. :) 19 days to go!
6/1/2006 - We get married this month! Wow, that's a powerful statement. Jenn is in Louisville for a 3-day business trip and I go to Chicago for a 3-day training class on June 12th. That reduces the time we have left to get organized and causes a little stress but I think we're in good shape. This is going to be the best June ever. :)
5/31/2006 - We have 130 people coming to the wedding now! Only about a week until the deadline for the RSVPs so we should see a bunch coming in soon. If not, we'll be on the phone calling some people because the dinner choices need to be to the Heritage by June 10th. We also met with the photographer, Rick Buchanan, last night and he made us feel very confident about how he will capture our wedding day. He has a great eye and we are excited to see his work. Wow, only 24 days to go! :)
5/22/2006 - My bachelor party was on Saturday (5/20) and it was a great time. The bus Bill chartered (photo & link below) was very nice and had two tables for cards in the back plus a much-appreciated restroom. Despite having some issues at the Canadian border (our driver was yelled at by a border patrol guard), the day was a huge success. Thanks to everyone who made the trip! Also, Jenn worked on RSVP cards last night and we're now at 105 guests. Everyone told us that the time near the wedding would fly by and they weren't kidding. I can't believe we're only a month out! :)

5/15/2006 - Jenn's second post:
This weekend was the wedding shower in Wheeling that was given by Jeff's Sister, Mom, and Dad (my soon-to-be family additions!) We all had a wonderful time and it was such a great day. The theme was gardening and the adorable decorations were too cute. I loved every minute of it! Thank you so much for all of your hard work...it was a beautiful day. :)
It was a great opportunity for everyone to come together. I was able to meet some new friendly faces that will be at the wedding, and both families had another chance to get to know each other. Jeff and I are so happy and excited about the generous gifts...we can't wait to get everything arranged. Thank you so much to everyone for making this day so memorable and special.

5/9/2006 - It was bound to happen and we knew it would, we were just hoping it would be later than sooner. Sadly, for the first time since 4/24, we did not receive any RSVPs in our mailbox. I didn't know how fun it would be to receive these small cards in the mail but it has really made coming home from work even more fun than normal. If you don't mind, could you coordinate amongst yourselves to make sure this doesn't happen again? Thanks! :)
5/8/2006 - Jenn’s first post:
My first shower was this weekend and I had such a wonderful time! I want to send my gratitude and love to Jessica and my Mommie for the many months of planning, the countless trips to stores, and the vision that brought this all together. It was a magical day for me and I’ll always remember it. My first, and best, Tea Party!
I also want to give a big thanks to Jess’s Mom, Connie, for all of her hard work with the food and prep for the big day. Thank you Daddy for being part of the day and helping Grandmother make the trip. Thanks also go to Judy and Julie for coming early to help set up…to Marca for organizing the many, generous gifts…to Vicki for arranging a beautiful bow bouquet…and also, lots of love and 'thank-you's to all the people who participated in this wonderful day! Thank you to my wonderful Jeff for rounding out the day with his smiling face and a bundle of pretty flowers.
Below are some pictures…if you would like to see some more, click here.

5/5/2006 - If you've seen the wedding map that my brother created for us, maybe you've asked yourself, "Hey, how does he know Columbus so well? He lives in Fort Wayne, IN". Good question! (slow news day) I helped him get started with my ugly rendition of what I hoped the map might look like. To see Jon's finished product, click here. Here is my original version:
5/2/2006 - We received a few more RSVPs yesterday so now we're up to 40. How great! Some people are writing little notes on the cards and it's very nice that people are excited to come and share in our celebration. We can't wait...
4/26/2006 - Yesterday, we received our first RSVPs in the mail! So far, we're 100% on attendance. Now, if those are the only responses we receive, an intimate group of 12 people will be coming. We're just excited to check the mailbox each day to see who's coming. It's off to a very good start. haha
4/25/2006 - We picked up Jenn's wedding bands last night. The Diamond Cellar did a great job and she loves them. That's all that matters, right? :)
4/22/2006 - Had a great meeting with Reverend Kuck today to work out more of the ceremony details. He read some of the verbiage to us and it sounded great. Jenn and I also took measurements of steps, couted pews, and measured anything else we think we might need to plan for the sanctuary decoration. Only 2 months to go! :)
4/21/2006 - We finished the invitations last night! My brother Jon worked very hard to get the map done for us and we were able to complete final assembly once they were printed. Jenn will deliver them to the Post Office today so people should start receiving them early next week. I must say, this is a huge weight off of our shoulders. We hope everyone likes what we picked out and of course we hope everyone can make it. :)
4/18/2006 - We addressed nearly all of the invitations last night. Jenn did some assembly and even added some of the nice stamps she picked out. Jon is so close to having the map completed that we should be able to send all of these out this week. Actually, we just keep making changes to his hard work. Thankfully, he responds quickly to our requests. We just don't want anyone to get lost. If anyone does struggle getting around during our wedding weekend, it's all my fault. Also, if anyone receives an invitation that is not "Emily Post friendly", you can blame it on me. :)
4/11/2006 - Jenn goes to Bowling Green today for her second fitting. Her Mom and Dad are meeting her at the bridal shop and it should be a nice time for them. I would've gone, you know, if I wasn't so stubborn about not seeing the dress until the big day. :)
4/9/2006 - Okay, we officially only have 2 registries as of today. Kaufmann's and Macy's are merging and it caused us too much grief so we closed both of those and moved everything to Bed, Bath, & Beyond and Jenn added some more things to Pottery Barn. We're really sorry if this is annoying but we did a lot of work to try and accommodate everyone and give them a store they could actually shop inside but it didn't work out the way we hoped. :(
4/8/2006 - Reverend Kuck called us today to tell us the bell will be back in the steeple soon and that we're going to be the first wedding after its repair that will use it for their ceremony. How fun! If you don't know the full story, click here for the details.
4/3/2006 - The bridesmaid dresses arrived today. Jenn is very excited and tells me they are even prettier than she thought they would be. I am not a good judge of dresses but I think they look quite nice. :)
3/31/2006 - Our invitations came in last night! They look very nice. Thanks Danielle! Now we need to start gathering addresses and preparing our wrists for all of the writing we'll be doing. :)
3/26/2006 - Registry disaster! Well, not really a disaster. It's more like a major inconvenience. Here's the deal: Kaufmann's is being purchased by Macy's. We registered at Kaufmann's for the convenience of family and friends who, of our registry choices, only have a Kaufmann's near them. Jenn has had to make 2 follow-up trips there because they keep discontinuing items we've painstakingly chosen. So now we've opened a registry at Macy's but aren't completely happy with it, either. We need to decide what to do soon and we know it's a mess for our friends and family. One option is to move more things to Bed, Bath, & Beyond because it's easy and they've been really good to us. More to come...
3/23/2006 - This morning, we submitted the final changes for the invitation proofs and we hope to have them back soon for review. Can't wait to spend hours addressing them by hand. Fun! haha
3/22/2006 - I ordered Jenn's wedding bands today. The Diamond Cellar worked with us a little on the price which made me quite happy. :)
3/20/2006 - Our wedding invitation proofs are now in. They really look great. While Jenn picked out the actual invitations, I picked out the font. I would love to put an example up here but that would ruin the surprise, wouldn't it? :)
3/15/2006 - We drove by our church to see that the repair of the steeple is finally underway! Looks like it might be done in time for our wedding. How nice if we could hear the 128-year-old bell ringing after our ceremony. To read more about its history in Dublin, click here.
3/13/2006 - We were trying to find someone to help us create a map for our wedding invitations and even considered WeddingMaps.com before my Brother volunteered his graphic design skills to help us out. Aren't we lucky to have such talented family members?
3/11/2006 - Jeff's Dad was in town to get measured for his tuxedo and, despite the chaos at the Lennox Men's Wearhouse, managed to complete this task. Just 4 guys to go now. You know who you are and you only have 3 months. :)
3/4/2006 - Jenn's parents came to town and we went with David (Jenn's Dad) to the Men's Wearhouse for our tux measurements. Despite some "challenges" with the staff that day, the Groom and the Father-of-the-Bride are now all set. Jeff's Dad (Jack) is coming to town this weekend with Kevin (Brother-in-law) for additional measurements. At this rate, we'll be done with this task before the end of March. :)
2/26/2006 - Jenn finished up our registries! All of the links are above (and below) if you want to check them out. I must say, I had no idea how much thought needed to go into this task. We put a lot of extra items on these lists because we get a nice discount on everything we decide to purchase after the wedding. Who knew? :)

2/25/2006 - Jeff's Mom was in town for the weekend and we found the dress she will wear to our wedding. It's really beautiful, she looks great in it, and it should compliment the dress we found for Jenn's Mom quite nicely. For the record, the dress was purchased from Von Maur at Polaris and they treated us very well.
2/24/2006 - We finalized the invitations with Danielle Sweeney tonight. She is very sweet and easy to work with. If you need invitations or stationery, please feel free to contact her directly.
2/18/2006 - We went to the Men's Wearhouse and picked out the tuxedos for the wedding today. Due to the fact that we registered at the Columbus Bridal Show, we received a GREAT discount. I am very happy with the choices we made. Also, we went to Kaufmann's to register and they treated us like royalty. We even picked up a nice set of champagne flutes which we will use for our toast (pictured below). If you are getting married, I highly recommend you check them out. They really took good care of us. :)
2/12/2006 - Today we went to church and met with the organist afterwards. She will perform the music during our ceremony and seems like a nice woman. That being said, I really wish she wouldn't have shared a story with us where she forgot that a wedding started at 4:00pm and arrived at the church only minutes before it began. This is the only time this has happened in all her years of performing for weddings but just in case, I think I will have my brother standing by as our emergency back-up musician. :)

2/11/2006 - We had a meeting today with Reverend Charles Kuck at the Dublin Community Church and it went quite well. He's a very nice man and should perform a beautiful ceremony. Tomorrow we meet with the organist who will handle the wedding music. It will be really nice to scratch a couple more things off of our "to do list".
2/10/2006 - Based on a reference from our friend Gayle, we booked a table at the Old Lahaina Luau for a traditional hula and feast. We are supposed to try the "Lava Flow" drink while we're there. Can we go now, please? :)
2/9/2006 - Aloha! It looks like we may have some honeymoon plans finally coming together. We found a new travel agent, Debbie, from Travel Partners in Dublin and we're very excited about our upcoming Hawaiian adventure. We will start in Waikiki for 3 nights and then move to Maui for 7 nights. Needless to say, we're ready to leave today. Here are a couple photos of the hotel where we'll stay in Maui:
Here are some photos of the Royal Hawaiian (also called the Pink Palace) where we'll stay while we're in Waikiki:
2/4/2006 - Oh Canada! Jenn and I traveled to Bowling Green this weekend to visit her parents and go with them across the border to have lunch, shop, and play the slots at Casino Windsor. Bonnie, the only one of us born in Canada, wisely brought her citizenship paperwork but no one else bothered. Because of this, we had to go visit the Canadian border patrol and receive special permission to enter the country. It's a good thing we pressed on because we ended up finding a great dress which Jenn's Mom will wear to our wedding (very nice). Also, Jenn and Bonnie won about $30 playing the machines. We used the winnings to buy some fun stuff from the Italia Bakery and enjoyed it for breakfast the next morning. Who said gambling doesn't pay? As usual, Jenn's parents were great hosts and we had a wonderful time. Thanks Bonnie and David! :)
1/28/2006 - Today, we spent a few hours at Bed, Bath, & Beyond registering for some things we need and some things we'd like to have. If you're curious. click here to see how we did. We didn't leave the kitchen section the entire time we were there. There's more to this than I originally thought. :)
1/24/2006 - Rehearsal dinner moved to The Bogey Inn? Jenn had a great idea and I am completely on board. We can get a bigger room and better atmosphere at a place which we have actually spent some time. Click on the picture below for more details:
1/21/2006 - Julie, Jess, and Jenn found and ordered the bridesmaid dresses today. I have been restricted from posting pictures of them due to the "surprise factor" but judging by the 1" x 1" photo I saw on Jenn's camera screen, they look great.
1/20/2006 - My third wedding band arrived today. I obviously had some issues with getting the right size. The final product is pipe-cut, comfort-fit, 6mm wide, and a size 11. The inscription is very nice, too. Ask me to see it when I'm around. :)
1/14/2006 - We went to the Heritage for food-tasting today and we really liked what chef Kyle served us. Jenn and I think we've picked a couple of great dishes and we will even have a vegetarian option, too. :)
1/11/2006 - Jenn picked up her ring today from the Diamond Cellar and she LOVES the new setting. We also looked at a TON of invitation options tonight with Matt's sister, Danielle Sweeney. Surprisingly enough, we agreed on many and think we have chosen a winner. Coming soon to a mailbox near you...
1/7/2006 - Jenn and I went to the Diamond Cellar to have them size her ring down a little. She's been living with a ring that's a hair too big for over a year now. While we were there we asked them to change the setting a bit, too, so that the diamond will be higher and throw more light. The best part? They're doing all of this for free! Oh, my ring needs to go back for another size change. Now it's too small. One more quarter size up should do the trick. We also went to the Columbus Bridal show to get our discount for the Men's Wearhouse tuxedo rental. Here is what I think our tuxes will look like (minus the color):
1/5/2006 - Jenn booked the rooms for our out-of-town guests at the Courtyard by Marriott here in Dublin. Considering the alternatives, the rates are very reasonable and the entire place was recently remodeled. Check out the photos by clicking on the link.
1/4/2006 - Jenn and Jessica found the bridesmaids dresses tonight. I guess this is very exciting news because the Ann Taylor dresses weren't going to get here in time. If you look at the link, please note that the bridesmaids dresses will NOT look like this. :)
1/3/2006 - Have we found a place for our rehearsal dinner? Possibly. Jason's is a great restaurant right in downtown historic Dublin and directly across the street from our church. They just added on a room which should accommodate our group. I love it when things come together...
12/6/2005 - I received my wedding band and it's very nice. They did a great job with the inscription, too. Unfortunately, I think I ordered the wrong size. I have been wearing it around, trying to get used to it but we both think it moves a bit too much. Good thing we have plenty of time to fix it. :)
12/1/2005 - I ordered a wedding band! Okay, that was a little too much excitement for a guy but I think I paid a very reasonable price. The ring from Novell (below) didn't work out because their quote was a little bit out of whack. I decided on a 5mm flat comfort-fit band and here's what it will look like:

11/26/2005 - We visited a small, family-owned jeweler named Myers & Pugh today and they can make Jenn's bands based on our input. How fun! Also, they carry Novell designs and Jeff may have found a winner. Here are some pictures:

11/21/2005 - Jenn and I had a discussion about our "first dance" song. Some contenders are:
Fly Me To The Moon
Heaven, I'm In Heaven
You Are So Beautiful
How Sweet It Is To Be Loved By You
It Had To Be You
L-O-V-E
The Way You Look Tonight
The Very Thought Of You
The Best Is Yet To Come
11/6/2005 - Our photographer (Rick) sent us new proofs which we can view much more easily than the other examples I posted below (10/31). We really love the one he took which is now on our home page and the one I added to our wedding website on TheKnot. These are very nice, too:

11/2/2005 - Jenn and Jessica are driving to Bowling Green tonight after work for Jenn's first dress fitting. I'm not exactly sure why, but they both seem very excited about this activity. :)
10/31/2005 - Smallest proofs ever! Rick sent us the wrong file size but this will give you an idea of some of the poses we liked from our Engagement Photo Shoot.

10/28/2005 - While driving by a bridal shop in Dublin, Jenn noticed her wedding dress (purchased elsewhere) in the window. She was with Jessica, her Maid (soon to be Matron) of Honor so they decide to have Jenn try it on. Apparently Jessica LOVES it, too, and said that I will definitely have the same reaction. Guess I will have to wait and see. Only 239 days to go... :)
10/27/2005 - Meeting with Denise Kramer of UniGlobe Travel to discuss honeymoon options. We are now leaning towards Hawaii but we'll see how it all works out.
10/22/2005 - Had a great day with Rick Buchanan taking our engagement photos. To see a shot he took of Able, click here. We hope to have some proofs of us posted soon!
10/14/2005 - Based on a referral, hired A Supreme Limousinse Service to drive us around for additional photos after our ceremony and deliver us to the reception. The car should look something like this:
10/11/2005 - Signed a contract with Anita Kline (Cakes by Anita) to create our wedding cake. Who knew you could make banana cake? Yum! :) (future guests: Jenn will protect you from my strange taste in cake so don't fret.)
8/9/2005 - Officially hired Rick Buchanan to be our photographer for the big day.
7/7/2005 - Hired Chuck Badgley to DJ our wedding reception. He is part-owner of CBR's, a cool night club in town, and has done a great job for many of our friends.
7/2/2005 - Inital meeting with Rick Buchanan, a candidate for the photography. He does great work, is very nice and loves dogs. What else do we need? :)
6/24/2005 - Celebrated our 1-year prenniversary at Bravo! Make sure you ask Jenn for details about this soon-to-be hugely popular holiday. Many thanks to Bonnie, Jessica, David, and Connie for traveling to Dublin, keeping a secret, and making this a huge success. Jessica's Mom gets photo credit for snapping the shot just as they all popped their heads up over their menus. Surprise!

1/21/2005 - Jenn moves in! For some strange reason, her move takes much less time and appears to go much more smoothly. :)
1/17/2005 - Jenn helps Jeff finish moving all of his junk at around 1:30am. Long, long day.
1/14/2005 - Jeff begins moving into new home.
1/10/2005 - Closed on the new house!
12/11/2004 - Final offer accepted on the new house. Yay! We became engaged in NYC, sold my condo, and bought a house all within about a week, Whew...
12/9/2004 - Initial offer made on new house.
12/8/2004 - Final offer accepted on my condo. Sold!
12/6/2004 - Initial offer received on my condo.
12/4/2004 - While still in NYC, we were able to meet up with two of our friends, Mike and Michelle Hurley, for a drink near Times Square. They were in Manhattan the same weekend and helped us celebrate our great news at a bar named Hurley's (not related). Jenn was very excited to show her ring to someone besides me. Thanks Mike and Michelle!
12/3/2004 - Proposed to Jenn during our trip to NYC. I popped the question after we enjoyed a wonderful dinner in Times Square and The Producers on Broadway. Special thanks to Tony for our pre-engagement gift of front-row, center-section mezzanine seats on the aisle! Thank goodness she said YES. Tony would've made me pay him back. :)
The Producers (show)
102 Brownstone (room we rented and where I proposed)
Orso (restaurant before the show)
10/30/2004 - With the help of my great friend Susan, went to the Diamond Cellar and picked out Jenn's ring. This caused some anxiety. What if she didn't like it? What if it didn't fit properly? What if I was stopped at security before our flight to NYC? As it turned out, she loved what I put together for her, it fit perfectly, and my carry-on wasn't searched. :)
